Introductory resources:
MARS events consist of shooting precision rimfire ammunition in .22lr. These rifle matches are shot in practical/field conditions. This means we give competitors unorthodox positions, such a rooftops, and/or some sort of shooting problem, such as alternating between colored targets at different distances. Think ‘PeeWee’ Precision Rifle Series (PRS). Our matches are very similar to the NRL22 or the Practical Rimfire Challenge.
The articles linked below gives a good overview of practical rimfire competitions. Then there are videos about getting started with the precision rimfire matches. Finally, we have a sample course of fire from one of our previous matches at the bottom of the page.
Be sure to also check out our Details page and FAQ. And feel free to Contact Us with any questions. Beginning a new sport can be complicated, we are here to help.
